Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than 20 years. Her current position is that of president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the National Basketball Association's controlling owners. Buss was born in California and was raised as part of a rich family. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who later owned the Lakers and other sports companies. Her feelings of abandonment were heightened as her parents divorced in 1972. At the age of 19 she started working within the family's company. After that, she established in the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She held the position of president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming vice-president for the Lakers. Buss, her five brothers and sisters and their father who owned the Lakers and ruled them until the time of his death in 2013, inherited this ownership through a trust. Each of them enjoyed the same vote rights. She assumed the office as president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has also been a partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling group).
